HEADS is a secular nonprofit organization established in 1984 and head quartered in Muttala, Ananthapur (D). Our health initiative covers 26 villages in & around KIADB Industrial area Devanahalli taluk & Bangalore north (D) with population of 25795 including 5000 migrants and in AP covers 20 villages in Atmakur Mandal, Ananthpur Dist.Community Health care project working towards spreading awareness of preventive & primitive health. It reaches out to the poor through our two health centers MITE hospital Muttala, HEADS Wipro Health center at KIADB & a mobile van that goes from village to village, fostering basic treatment & checkups to almost 40000 people. Our Initiatives • Village health points • Village mobile health camps, • Adolescent’s girls health education and awareness classes, • Preventive health care training programs for SHGs Members and Village health guides, • Promoting reproductive health & safe mother hood awareness programs, • School children healthcare & hygiene


All people should have access to quality and affordable primary health care.


1. To create awareness about preventive healthcare, especially about prevalent diseases 2. To provide curative healthcare facilities and create sustainable models in healthcare systems 3. To mobilize local communities to access health rights 4. To create awareness amongst adolescent girls on health and hygiene issues.




Prabhakar Reddy

Director, President & Founder

Prabhakar Reddy is a doctor and he is keen to serve the rural community. Prabhakar has experience in the not for profit sector. He had worked in Rural Development Trust for 6 years from 1978 to 1984 before starting HEADS. Prabhakar Reddy is known in the local community for his management and good communication skills. His next goal is to build Ayurvedic Hospital in Anantapur


P. Veeranna


Veeranna is a practicing advocate. He was attracted to HEADS's concern for community problems and decided to become a volunteer. Prior to joining HEADS, Veeranna worked as a government high school teacher and as a Mandal Education Officer


Venkataramana G


Shri Venkataramana served as teacher in government school and retired Head master he very enthusiastic in working rural development activities at village level he served in NEEDS Organization in various village development programs.

Suvarna professionally government Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery she worked in ground level in various health care programs,she conducted and trained more 600 women group members on preventive health care aspects.

M. Prakash Reddy Deputy Director


Prakash Reddy holds a Master’s Degree in accounts and finance he brings over a three decade of experience in working grassroots level at various social sector projects in HEADS,he streamlined the accounting and financial grant management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting process of all HEADS Projects,His core areas of interest are in management, leadership and organisation development,and also trained in leadership development program at Dhwani foundation to strengthen and sustain the organization development.


E. Vijaya Kumar, Program Coordinator


Vijay Kumar is the head of field level program and executions he has fourty years’ experience in health care sector and worked 25 years in Rural development trust ananthpur one of the biggest NGOs in Andhra Pradesh. and played key roles in all the healthcare projects, he trained more than 1000s of children with disabled in sign language training and managed rehabilitation programs, he availed the Diploma in Special education on Mental retard children NIMH Secundrabad Community health program at St.Jhon Hospital Bangalore,Rehabilation council of India program at New Delhi. Vijaya Kumar has worked on tuberculosis, HIV, disabilities among other health care projects and has trained more than 100 group and field volunteers.


Naveen Kumar S.A Project Manager


Naveen Kumar S. A. a enthusiastic key player working as project Manager for Community health care project in HEADS having 14 years of experience in both corporate and social sector Over the span of his working career, Naveen has worked in various positions across, Sales and Marketing, field level executions, operations ,quality control administration, project Management and employees capacity building fields. Naveen is responsible for the overall operations of the project for Community health care project; he accomplished 3 years in the current project and strengthens organization and setup an process and models in project management, digital media, operational issues Naveen seamlessly liaises with the stake holders of HEADS projects in addition to managing staff training, project planning reporting, monitoring systems and tools. Naveen exhibits strong leadership qualities, commitment and responsibility and is driven by a strong passion to change the lives of the community


Vani, Nurse-MITE Hospital


Vani has 8 years of experience in the not for profit sector. She has been working with HEADS for over 4 years. Vani has completed her ANM course at Kalyandurgam.


Aruna, MITE Hospital


Aruna has been with HEADS for the past three years. Prior to joining HEADS, Aruna was in the not for profit sector for two years. She has completed ANM course in Nirmala nursing school ananthapuram.


Radhika Community Health Guide


Radhika started career as Community health guide In HEADS and trained more than 500 women in preventive health care training she also a coordinator for Self helf group members in Devanahalli


Manjula V N Community Health Guide


Manjula V N , having completed her Bsc, has been associated with Nonprofit organizations working in the Healthcare and livelihood sector instead of being a teacher in mainstream education. She aims to bring change a sustainable change in village holistic development aspects through strengthening village health guides ,She inspires the team with her passion and enthusiasm and is always seen sparkling with energy.


Manjula M Community Health guide


Manjula M is the Community Health guide for health care Programmes . she also works as ASHA Worker which she more connectivity and rapport with has an in-depth understanding of the healthcare system and delivering the services to the needy people and She is a down to earth individual , who is dedicated towards creating a positive impact in the lives of ANTE Natal mothers, senior citizens &children.


Dr.Nagesh- Medical Officer


Dr. Nagesh N Medical officer a committed and dedicated Medical officer who served in Government Health department of Karanataka and He has more than 40 years of experience and who knows and worked at the ground level challenges in primary healthcare. He works as Medical officer in Health center, guides mentors team and various community level initiatives including Reproductive and Child Health, Water-Sanitation, Mobile dispensaries, , HIV-AIDS etc.
